Senator John McCain: The Benedict Arnold of the 21st Century

In the 1960's, during the Vietnam War a young pilot named John McCain was shot down by an enemy anti-aircraft barrage and was made a prisoner of war. Even though he was badly injured the enemy brutally tortured him to the point that over five decades later he still suffers from his injuries inflicted upon him then. However, he overcame those negatives and after refusing to come home when offered freedom until all his fellow POW's could come home with him, he finally was brought back to the United States and went through years of physical and emotional rehabilitation. He was elected the Senator from Arizona and has served in that position since.

Once a hero, over the last few years he has proven more and more that the mental and emotional weight were beginning to show. Throughout his tenure as a Senator McCain has proven himself to be more of an obstructionist than a hero. Once thought of as a maverick Senator it has become obvious that his maverick and sometime cavalier approach to legislation is more troublesome than being just a sign of obstinate bravery.

Last week during the crucial vote to send the so-called "skinny repeal" Obamacare bill to committee so that it could be thoroughly worked out with both House and Senate members where a more comprehensive healthcare package could go before both houses of congress for a simple up or down vote, McCain took that opportunity to grandstand and use his one vote to literally destroy any hope of getting a good healthcare plan to the American people and moving it into the election year of 2018 where it would be highly unlikely of getting passage during such a divided Congress looking for reelection votes. McCain may have killed any kind of healthcare reform in the near future. Regardless of what happens between now and November 2018 Obamacare will implode in on itself sometime in 2018 leaving countless millions without any kind of healthcare whatsoever.

McCain was overheard saying on the Senate floor in the early morning hours of the "skinny repeal" vote "Let's see Donald Trump make America great again now!" What a traitorous and scandalous thing to say revealing that McCain has become nothing more than a 21st Century Benedict Arnold - a man that may have been a hero to this nation over five decades ago but has been quickly turned into one of the greatest political traitors in American history. He is no longer just a RINO (Republican In Name Only) but he has become a traitorous man using his political clout for strictly personal and political reasons. He is not an obstructionist or a maverick - He is a TRAITOR to the well being of the American people. There is more than cancer eating away at his brain. He has been eroding for years into a hateful, despiteful, angry abuser of his political power.
